Our Victorian slate roof was in poor repair, and leaking. Just after Christmas 2014 we got a range of quotes, and asked John Spinner to do the work. We discussed a solution that was both cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing, keeping all visible roof areas in original slate, and replacing valleys and other roof surfaces with galvanized iron. John replaced all the roof battens as he went, applied sisalation and reseated all the slates. He renewed all the cappings and chimney flashings. He started straight away, and worked safely and meticulously. He left no rubbish during or after the job, and his final cleanup was immaculate. He took before and after photographs, and was always pleasant to communicate with. We have the highest opinion of his professionalism, and have no hesitation in recommending him.
